Over the last couple of years, we have seen an increasing demand for mental health programs for schools and organisations dealing with teens/youth issues. We have now adapted our successful workshops for the school environment, with content carefully tailored for the specific needs of students and school staff.
The Youth Mental Health First Aid course will teach you how to assist adolescents who
may be experiencing a mental health problem or mental health crisis until appropriate
professional help is received or the crisis resolves, using a practical, evidence based
Action Plan.
This course is based on guidelines developed through the expert consensus of people
with lived experience of mental health problems and professionals.

Become an Accredited
Mental Health First Aider
Demonstrate your mental health first aid skills by becoming an Accredited Mental Health First Aider. Simply complete an online assessment after the course to become accredited
The Course
What is the course format?
The program is a blended version with a 4 hours e-learning package and a 7-hour face to face facilitated workshop.
Why Attend The Course?
Evaluations consistently show that MHFA training is associated with improved knowledge of mental illnesses, their treatments and appropriate first aid strategies, and confidence in providing first aid to individuals with mental illness. It is also associated with decreased stigma and an increase in help provided.
Who Should Attend?
Any adult who wants to earn how to provide mental health first aid to young people aged 12 to 18.
This is a truly empowering and insightful program that could benefit all parents of teenagers.
The course is not appropriate for adolescents to attend.

The blended course consists of 4 hours online learning and 2 x 3.5 online facilitated sessions
